Cameron Green scored 100 from 47 balls to sail Mumbai Indians into the banks of Indian Premier League(IPL) playoffs by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad.
SRH made a respectable 200/5, with Mayank Agarwal blistering 83 of 46 balls.
Unbeaten Green and the skipper Rohit Sharma, who got out for 56 from 37 balls, helped to steer the Mumbai ship to a comfortable chase and conquered victory by 8 wickets.
Royal Challengers Bangalore could have surpassed Mumbai by beating Gujarat Titans, but they fell short after a one-man batting show by Virat Kohli.
RCB started with a rain-delayed match with the Titans- Virat Kohli scored a sublime 100 off 60 balls and took the whole innings on his shoulders to make 101. RCB started well with an opening partnership with Faf du Plessis notched up 50 from the first 5 overs.
Despite Kohli’s effort, RCB lost by five wickets and the GT chased the target with 5 balls to spare, as Shubman Gill exploited their bowling attack.
Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 104 off 52, cementing victory for the Titans with a six in the last over to take the Titans to 198-4.
The earlier faceoff eliminated Rajasthan Royals, who needed both RCB and MI to lose to stand a chance of getting into the playoffs.
